Hello,

My wife is expecting in May 2020 and we have planned to move to Canada in December end for good. we have already made soft landing and stayed in Toronto for around 2 months (june19 - july19).

Now my question is how long would it take to get OHIP as we were there in Canada few months ago?
Can we apply for the OHIP right after landing?
Should I get a private medical insurance for the first 3 months to be on the safe side?

Thanks in advance for the help.

3 months until you qualify for insurance. Insurance will not cover routine visits. Apparently there is one policy that may cover emergencies up to the 2nd trimester. You will have to plan to cover expenses until then.
