It absolutely was... I don't know how there is such a wait to achieve so little... but in saying that there were 3 cancelled appointments i knew of around mine and not a single person in sight of the waiting room.

$225 for a 2 minute exam. It's a joke. 1 year ago I "only" paid $180.

I just did mine on the 8th in Calgary... more waiting around than actual time for it. Costs for me were $225.00 medical, $39 blood and urine, $50 chest xray. The medical I sat in the exam room waiting and listening to the practitioner having a personal conversation with her desk person about her boyfriend than time spent examining me. She checked my lungs, heart, poked my stomach, then asked me if I had a bunch of things such as TB, HIV, etc. All the big stuff. That really was it. Oh and I stood ont a machine that checked my height, weight and blood pressure. Other tests are self explanatory. All easy peasy, and she said that if there were red flags she would contact me within a week otherwise I can assume that it has been sent on. That was good to know even though I am not expecting red flags (though I think I dropped some tap water in the urine sample so it could have contaminated it and I might have to do it again!! I hope not... so stupid!) So yes all very expensive for a whole lot of not much. My stack of papers is ready to mail out now, I am just waiting for the week to swing by since the medical just in case then will pop it in the post!
good they were willing to let you know if something was wrong, in our case we asked if we will be told if something was wrong and the doctor only said they are done with us and they are not suppose to say anything to us and that it btn them and cic , they took X-ray , blood, urine and asked me to lay down , she pressed my abdomen and ask if I felt any pains , asked if I've been sick lately I said I've not been sick for so many years. And that was it, I wasn't given any forms to fill or anything , it took less than 10 mins , hopefully everything is ok

Medicals consist of chext x-ray, physical exam(HEENT, reflexes, etc) and blood tests for HIV and syphillis. There is a Section A form which you are asked to complete during the appointment. Depending on past medical history more tests could be requested. e.g. someone with tattoos or piercings (other than their ears), likely will be asked to do Hepatitis test; heart problems, they may be asked to do an ECG or Echo, or they could be referred to a specialist for their opinion, etc before the medicals are sent in.
you talk about hepatitus...In case if a person hepatitus-B positive. .then does dis effect on dere medical. .I hv done my medical in India. .

Unfortunately, I do not know if that will have an effect on their medical. Search the forum to see if there are similar cases or pm(private message) computer geek. He seems to know more about immigration and medicals.

It's approx. $535.00 for an adult in the State Of Kuwait.

The medical examination:
The IME consists of a medical history, physical examination, age-specific laboratory tests, and age-specific chest x-ray.
Mandatory age-specific laboratory and radiologic tests include:
1. Urinalysis – clients ≥ 5 years
2. Chest x-ray (postero-anterior view) – clients ≥11 years
3. Syphilis – clients ≥15 years
4. HIV – clients ≥15 years

Cost usd$150 to do it in Singapore and an extra usd$60 to courier the results over.

Urine test
Blood test
X ray
Medical checkup
Height and weight

It cost me about $400 because I didn't have a health card in Saskatchewan. :(
My doctor was so nice though, he complimented me on my accent and told me that he also sponsored his wife, etc.

Hi I have a silly question here. I think I might be depressed but I will apply for my PR in half year. I am scared of being rejected or having prolonged processing timeline... Do they have any assessment that shows I might be depressed?
