Hey Guys,
Quick Question: We received the next step in our spousal sponsorship and that is to get a medical exam. Not knowing we only had one month to complete the exam from the date the email was received, we are running low on time. My husband currently lives here with me in Canada.
We also have to submit a police certificate and the directions were as follows: "In addition to a police certificate, residents of Queensland must submit Traffic History going back to their 18th birthday or the day on which their first Australian driver's licence was issued"
He is currently on a working holiday Visa. When applying for this visa, we had to get a police check done. So we have the paperwork for that (Queensland National police check) but it's dated up until July 11th, 2014. He came to Canada in October of 2014 and has been here ever since.
So my question is does he have to get another one from Australia even though we already have that one? Or does he have to get one done from here in Canada from the last 2 years or both? And will we get it on time to submit it for the 21st of October?
Also, he has never had a drivers licence due to the fact that he's epileptic so there is no traffic history to report. Would a written explanation from us be enough? All this information is due on the 21st of October and I am stressing as the letter states that if they do not receive the information in time, it could result in refusal. We have put a lot of time, energy and money into this and we are expecting our first baby at the end of the month. It's a lot to take and and ANY information or guidance would REALLY help!
Thank you for your time!
