Hi all, I received my ITA last week, but underwent the medical exam in January. Is this a problem? I found conflicting information about this after I did the exam...

As long as medical exams are valid you're fine.
Medical certificates for applicants who pass a medical examination in or outside Canada are valid for twelve months from the date of the last medical assessment of an applicant’s file by a medical officer and/or delegated staff.

I am slightly confused now. Please help me. My EE profile has been submitted and I am expecting an ITA in the next 4 to 5 draws. Meanwhile I thought I could get my medicals done so that it will help me submit the application.

As someone quoted above my EE has the following details:

  • Candidate: XXX
  • Unique Client Identifier (UCI): CAN00006807XYZZ
  • Profile number: E001342XXX
  • Date you submitted your profile: December 5, 2018
  • Date your profile expires: December 6, 2019
  • Biometrics:
    • Biometrics Number:
    • Date of Biometrics Enrolment:
    • Expiry Date
I have my medicals scheduled for 29th December, which of these details should I tell my doctor. I was asked to bring my passport alone.

Please help. Thanks

Medicals have a validity of 12 months. If you don't land in Canada before they expire, you need to get them re-done. Even if you get ITA in 2 months, and submit your application, the processing could take 6 months. I would strongly suggest to book an appointment and go for your medicals after you get an ITA. I don't think there is any reason to rush it, considering the next draw could be in Jan and there is chance of CRS score to jump a bit.
