Medical done ... waiting for PPR request

Hi All,

I got my medical request by the end of june 2011 due to the postal strike. Did my medicals on July 8th and confirmed with the doctor's office that my medicals were sent on July 28th. I also send a money order for the permanent residence fee and since then I still waiting to hear from Buffalo consulate regarding my passport request.

On the other hand, my brother who did his medicals a few days before me has already got his passport request and now also has the immigrant visa and COPR with him. Am I missing something here?? Are there anymore background\security checks which the consulate does after medicals?? Anybody in the same situation as me?? Should I ask them for an update on my file??

The processing time varies according to each case. It is possible that your case is still under review for any reason. Any how allow 3 months waiting time and if nothing happened send a status inquiry. Perhaps you may hear something soon.

I have the same situation like you. My medical result was sent to Canada Visa Office on July 28,2011. Let me know when you receive PPR.

Did you send them you proof that you have done the medical. The receipt the doctor gave you. I didnt send it but will be doing it next week

Atleast now I know there are other ppl in the same boat. ;D

There is no need of sending the proof of medical to the visa office. You should get a tracking number of the courier from the DMP, to find out when it reached. That is an important proof for you.

Early payment of RPRF help you to speed up the case instead of waiting for request from Visa Office.

wait for one more month if u dont get any thing in one month then contact them and ask about your file.
