medical: before or after submitting application?

I'm so glad I found this forum! I can't seem to find a definitive, straightforward answer for my question:

Could someone confirm for me when my spouse, who I am sponsoring, needs to have his medical? Before or after we submit the application? We have finished everything else for the application and its all ready to go.

"When all else fails, read the instructions" Your spouse has the medical before the application is submitted. You submit the receipt from the Dr. with the application.
