meaning of dual intent for student visa

hello friends. ;D Can someone explain me meaning of dual intent . for example . i wanna do post bacc diploma in accountancy from university.. and also cga in canada. Is it preferable that i specify in my sop that i want to do cga too( as i am indian ca and will enter level 4 cga directly ) ..or only the course i have already applied to (post bacc diploma ).. And if I SHOW INTENTION OF BOTH.. WILL IT BE TERMED AS DUAL INTENT.is dual intent advisable for visa success or not ? 8) please clarify..thanks in advance.

I do not think if the concept of "Dual Intent" is related with studies option. The “Dual Intent” means a possible scenario where an international student intent to apply for a study permit as well as to apply/aim for permanent residency.

So dual intent is not relevant here.Anyways, is it good for me to write in sop my university course + cga (which is correspondence course ) or just university course.. for favourable response.. Another important point is that one can enroll for cga only either as a p.r holder or a person on student visa. WILL IT BE DESIRABLE (although not vital by any means ) to mention cga also in sop (for which i cant enroll also right now ).. please share your knowledge forum members. ty ;D

Yes you can mention it in your SOP, If your prospective University studies is relevant to CGA.

And personally I believe that Visa Officer does not even go through SOP as it is not a part of Checklist. Well it’s my personal opinion and I may be wrong.
