I am from North York . I am not so sure which local office we will be assigned to . Any ideas?

I am in North York too, and according to a CIC agent I spoke to, my file is going to Mississauga. I don't know if that will necessarily be the same case with your file. You can always call CIC and ask them about the status of your application and if it has been transferred to a local office. Mine was "in transit to Mississauga" as of last week according to the agent.

Thanks Aed, I have been reading all the posts since I have submitted our documents. It's quite exciting how fast people seem to be getting their citizenship but now that it's our turn it feels like it is taking forever It seems a bit slow for May applicants don't you think ? Or maybe I am just impatient.....

Application Recieved mid may 2014
In process mid july 2014. 3 monthes now with no update.

Recieved line still appeared in Ecas. case still in Sydney.

No more updated information in Ecas since Mid July 2014.

Stay in downtown toronto. Local office should be Scaborough or Missisaga?
4 years full time student records for 2010-2014.
About 10 trips outside canada during academic holiday break to USA and my home country.
apply with 1109 days.

Very clean record because 4 years of school record. rent apartment.

I saw many June 2014 already got line disappear and some got test date.

GTA office is slow at this period?

Any may 2014 applicants get more update these days?

I think many April applicants still didn't get test notices, particularly from Mid-April onwards as per the spreadsheet details we have so far on this forum at least. Only thing you can do really is wait. If you have a problem and you can do something about it, then don't worry. If you have a problem and you cannot do anything about it, then don't worry

I see that May applicants are unfairly delayed.... Don't know the reason... may be various reasons. But our processing is slow. Most of our applications are still in Sydney....

I also see - according to our Excel - it slowed down after 15th April..... God knows why...

I also learnt today that it's disrepectful to drop the Canadian flag on the ground.

This is actually pretty common among nations -- a "tattered" or "soiled" flag should be destroyed in a "dignified way". This usually means burning in a private ceremony.

Accidentally dropping it isn't "disrespectful" provided it is picked up ASAP and not trampled upon... and merely dropping it doesn't mean it is "soiled" -- it has to actually be dirty.

The Americans take it much more seriously -- an offence to their flag is similar to an offence to the Queen here.

AT LAST, My Received Line disappeared today. May be something might have happened at the back end I believe.

As per the trend we see in this forum, My application might have been transferred to Local Office...

Some movement is better than "Complete Dullness".
