Hi
I entered Canada and activated my PR card 2 months ago. I got my healthcard also provisional ID. Now I need to return my home country. Is Canada allow us to return home country? May the disqualify my pr card say that I did soft landing? On below link mentioned that

To meet the travel restriction exemptions, you must also:

  • be coming to Canada to settle permanently (you cannot come to Canada and leave to go live in another country, even if it’s temporary)
  • show you’re able to quarantine for 14 days

Nobody is going to stop you leaving there are no immigration checks to leave other than passport validity at checkin .

Others can comment as well but that statement is to discourage soft landings but in reality anyone can leave and as a PR as long as you have a valid card you can come back.

Sure if COVID still with us which seems likely and you come back in a few months always a chance CBSA May give you a hard time for travelling, probably not , but shouldn’t worry that they will do anything with your PR status.

As you can imagine the government would like to restrict people travelling in/out of Canada and potentially spreading the virus so this is just another way of stressing if a new PR is not planning to settle to hold off coming so the government can invest in the health of residents who are staying.

As far as health card is concerned you need to ensure you meet the residency requirements and if necessary inform them if you plan to be away for any significant time. Check province website for details.

Above is my view only
