Thank you. The place where I had it done charges a combined fee for two printed copies along with the electronic version, which can be provided either by email or on a USB. They asked me to write my name on the back, and they stamped it with the date and studio details. There is an extra charge for scanning both the front and back, so I declined that service since I can scan it myself if needed.

The electronic version they send you should be fine.

It's already May 19th and you still haven’t applied for citizenship, yet you remain confident that you'll not only apply but also complete all the steps and receive your citizenship by August—which is just three months away.Your optimism is admirable. Honestly, if someone from IRCC saw your comment, they'd probably be thrilled to know there’s at least one person in Canada who has still such high hopes for them. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for your updates, as I’m also planning to apply by the end of this month. Best of luck.

From what I’ve observed, IRCC was really quickly processing the citizenship applications and all of their focus was on it before elections. Since the elections, they’ve slowed down significantly. For example, the AOR time used to be a 7-14 days and now it is 30-45 days. You can double check it by going to forums from Jan-Mar 2025.

Yeah… lately I've been closely following every update in this section since January and keeping track of the information shared here in the forum, as I’m planning to apply this month. It’s all still fresh in my mind, especially after spending years just to get PR—and even a few extra months just waiting for the PR card. So I’m not very hopeful that the processing will go smoothly this time either. But I’ve got all the time to wait now, and even if the whole process takes extra time, it won’t really make a difference for me.

Could you please share what aspect of the application was incomplete and led to its return? It would be helpful for others to take extra care when submitting the application.

While we wait for updates Has the police certificate for country of origin question been definitively answered? If someone was in country of origin before landing as PR and then only been back for a few weeks for vacation, do we need to submit police certificate?
