I hadn't checked my tracker account for a week+ so just did and to my surprise it was updated with Background Check Completed... Progress!

Since you are exempt from the test, makes sense that they just moved to the next step. Maybe thats the case for all those that have background completed before

I doubt there is any correlation. Seems each of the checks are done independently of each other looking at past months.

Submission: May 30th
AOR: July 7th
IP: July 9th
Background completed: July 14th

I guess it’s just a random pattern since my spouse and I have to take the test, even though our background checks are completed and all the other steps are still in progress. And for my dependent daughter, there haven’t been any updates at all – no background check or anything.

Apparently for minors the updates (or lack of them) doesn't mean that much, just pay attention to what's happening for the parents.

Got the 'to be confirmed' pass result on the test today. Update for tracker in signature.

I was 9th June AOR, and got test email on 14th July. It should happen in the next week or two. Its solidly taking more than a month.

Congratulations. You dont have to go through the test. May I know the criteria for getting the test exemption?

Ghost update just means that you logged into the tracker and the "Updated At" date was changed but there is no change in status, just means something happened on your file behind the scenes, it can precede an upcoming update on your application

Thank you, yes, I can see the update date changed to 16th July now......how can I verify that IRCC has got my FP, I gave it at police station about a week ago
