Visa got refused.

Reasons -
1. Insufficient funds (I showed approx 20k CAD in my bank account and additionally showed investments, property etc)
2. No significant families ties outside Canada ( My entire family is in my home country. My parents, my sibling. I dont have any significant tie in Canada)
3. Purpose of visit (I showed my purpose as visiting a family friend who is a govt employee in canada and tourism. Showed a 10 day trip)

I don't know what to do now as these reasons make absolutely no sense to me.

Sorry, to hear that. If I could ask which type of TRV did you apply SuperVisa or Visitor Visa and which country they were coming from?

1st:

I did the exact same except I applied for them on may 4th biometrics completed on the 10th and updated same day. second applicant is done and already had her passport stamped

for my first applicant no BVL yet and apparently on the tracker it states her application is not in the system yet. Hopefully we hear something soon Plan on having them come visit by the end of the month

Congratulations to all those who have gotten the VISAs and Sorry for those who got refusal (been there, know how it feels ).

Applied for parents on 11th May 2023 via the portal.
Had done the BM last year.
Status still shows submitted.
My country timeline now is 30 days when we applied it was 23 days.

I was wondering, how do we get updates, do we get an email and log on to the portal?
Keep logging on to the portal (I had been doing anyways)?
Do I need the GC account or the Portal is sufficient?
