Please anyone reply to this thread - I got an ghost update in my portal shows "updated May 27 2023". I did not see any posts so far that had updates on the weekend. Anyone else received ghost update today?
They are not ghost updates. It clearly states that your file can be updated and being worked on but that you may not necessarily receive details of what an agent has added/completed.

I myself am a March 2022 applicant and expect to take the oath next week. So family got done 3 months earlier b/c they were paper and I was online.

During the ceremony they asked if wife and kids wanted paper or e-certificates. Wife opted for e-certificate. Having sent the e-webform, hopefully the certificate should be available in the next couple of days.

Good some office giving that option as the wait for paper certificate is crazy in some cases.

My application has been stuck for over half year now. Really don’t know why Vancouver office can be so delayed. The AITP notes I got from April said the due date for LPP is 05/19 (which I think was already so delayed at that moment compared to most of other applicants’ case) but nothings happened as of now. Guess they took off all the due dates because of the strike? So tired of dealing with this department.

I would have advised you to send them an email, but it wouldn't do anything for you. They'd always give generic answers. I called the call center to see the possibility of routing my application from Vancouver to another jurisdiction office(either Scarborough or even Ottawa), but they said they can't do that. I know the wait is annoyingly tiring, but we'll have to look at the end goal and be patient.

Pray that it never goes to Ottawa. It is crazily slow.

They rarely process application faster. Average is close to ~12 months and more.
Still way better than Vancouver. I've been on a queue waiting for oath scheduling for 4months. They said they're attending to others that were affected by the strike.
