Hi,
What all documents we have to send. Do we have send our PCC of home country as they are asking to give the details for last 5 years. I was working in KSA I have given at the time re-medical. Do we have to give now also or copy of pcc is enough or wait for the letter.
Let me know.
Thanks

if you look at the document checklist, it says you will need to provide a copy of PCC if you stayed 183+ consecutive days in another country 4 years before you applied for citizenship.
If you haven't seen the document checklist, it's here https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/citizen/cit0007e-2.pdf

I think the source of confusion is that the instructions guide has a note that seems to contradict this, at least in some cases: "Note: If you were in your country of origin immediately prior to becoming a permanent resident and landing in Canada and this time falls within this four year period, you are NOT required to provide a police certificate. Please indicate this in the explanation box."

This would be my case, I lived in my country of origin immediately before landing and I already provided PCC at the time, so it looks like I wouldn't need to do it again. That said, as I'm paranoid, I'm including an up to date PCC to my application (that I'll be mailing tomorrow)

The way I see it is they are more interested in the time you spent outside of Canada since you became a permanent resident. The legislation changed and prior to this your temporary status in Canada was not considered towards your eligibility for citizenship; as such, this caveat or clause would not have been needed then. Now, more than ever I believe it is necessary. It's great that you included it in your application, but I feel that you have nothing to worry about now!
