Congrats!!! I know we were in the same boat so I can only imagine how relieved you must be!

Unfortunately, we still haven't received any email or letter in the mail regarding AOR. We mailed in our application on May 19th, and it was received May 21st. I'm beginning to think something is wrong. People in June are receiving SA and we haven't even got AOR. Is anyone in a similar position? I'm so stressed out about this whole process so I would really appreciate some insight :(

have you tried calling CIC again?
 
Hey guys,

A quick update: I just got off the phone with CIC. The last time I called, they gave me the information although my husband is the sponsor. This time around, they wanted to speak to him so I conferenced him in. As mentioned before, my application was received on May 21st and she said the decision was made on July 21st. I know that took a while but I'm just SO happy that a decision was made and that my file isn't lost or chewed up by a dog (I was starting to have crazy thoughts!)

Regarding the letter, the lady said the letter was not sent (no reason why?) which is the same thing that the last person told me. I just want to say to all the May applicants like myself who were/are stressing out, things are moving - slowly, but surely. Don't panic if you haven't received a letter. Chances are, your decision is made. Just give them a call. Here's the number for your convenience: 1-888-242-2100

Thank you zainy. I'm happy for you too. We didn't received our AOR . And Monday when my husband called the CIC ,the lady told him that our file they didn't even opened. But today when he called again another lady checked his name and told that we got our SA ,and our file sent to LVO ..

what a relief..congrats on ur SA.. :)
 
I called CIC today, and after he asked if I had called before (yes on Friday) and what was the answer (still in process) he agreed to check. Result was I am approved as a sponsor! Expect a letter in 2 to 4 weeks he said. I didn't push to ask what day I was approved as he seemed eager to move on to the next person. So I'll put today's date on the spreadsheets for SA but maybe change it later. The wife is relieved. :)

Wow, we're literally a day apart so far. I'm May 20th AOR & July 20th DM. Still no letter either, and I'm also getting antsy. Glad to see that I'm not the only one! Hopefully we'll get something in the next week!

Yesterday my wife was jealous you at least had a DM. :)
 
Hello... I was approved as a sponsor on21 july ( which i learnt when i called CIC). However, i still have not reveived any letter.. I am getting a bit worried since i need the letter to be able to apply for CSQ.. Is there any delay that is given to request for csq??

hasn't your ECAS change til now?

do you think they will give me info if i phone again? or they would just tell me to wait again. :'(

They are going to update the website today for processing times hopefully and then it'll be passed the 25th and we should
be able to call Jam :D
Though last week they did it on friday .. but usually it seems to be done on thursdays so im hoping .

Same here! My file was transferred on July 21st but no letter in the mail. When I called, the lady said she will let the Mississauga office know about the letter. If and when it comes, I'll be a believer. Just know, you are not alone.

You're definitely not alone. What will we need the letter for? Will it be to check our status?
