Ok, but "Current undertaking" isn 't it only for my hubby, since our son is Canadian?

since your son is canadian citizen, Your are sponsoring your husband only you will include your husband in IMM 0008 form not in IMM 5481

Hello guys!

newbie here. I starting my process through the Bogota, Colombia office. I am joining you guys to check all the statuses.

so far, since my application sent in May 27 and received in May 28, I'm still waiting for them to check the application. It was 28 days before, but now they are at 55 days backlogged.

not sure what happened to them and why now they are taking longer to process applications!!!! :o

Indeed, even for me, I don't know if I should really call what I got an AOR. I called them after not having received an AOR. Next day, they sent me an email saying your complete application file has been received, but they didn't have UCI# at the top. When I called the call center, the agent gave me my UCI# - I used this to login online to check the application status. It just says the application is received - not "In Process". So, clearly, the file is just sitting there. And they only sent me an email because I enquired I think - they wouldn't have if I didn't ask the status.

Past the long weekend, it looks like they just stopped working or are overwhelmed with millions of files ;)

my husband called yesterday. the agent gave him a UCI number and we could check our app online, it says the same - "application received". but at least i know it's in their system.. ::) she said it's still normal that we're waiting. oh the joy, we're way past the 55 day mark :(

this is stupid. Vienna is horrible as a VO (according to some other users that go through Vienna as well). they're quiet for like 10 months after they receive ur app.. it takes around 14 months for you.

don't get nervous tho. seems like you have a strong case ;)

welcome, btw! add urself to the spreadsheet! (link in my description)

Thanks! I shall update once I've posted enough ;-)

Thanks, Heena! Just wanted to be sure :)

aaah! we received sponsorship approval! ;D yay!! no AOR though ??? meh who cares, it's still good news! perhaps they started our app because of my husband calling yesterday, to ask why we didn't receive anything ... maybe you guys should start calling too :P

Omg congrats!!
I think I'm gonna call up and ask about it. I just want the stress of this process to be over. They don't review anything else at the first stage right? Just the principal applicants application and eligibility?

That's awesome. Congrats!!

Ecase updated to show SA approval and medical received

Does anyone know if for translated documents do they have to notarized or can it just be the translation. the translation would be done by a professional of course and have all the necessary stamps but do I need it notarized?? its just his mexican police certificate. they dont say anything about notarizing it.

thanks everyone ;D one hoop successfully jumped through 8)

yokies, they review the SPONSOR. the PRINCIPAL APPLICANT = SPONSORED PERSON. so they just make sure the sponsor didn't go on welfare or has a criminal background, that's pretty much it :). you can give it a try and call - you're past the 55 day mark too. maybe they can at least give you a UCI number. no harm in trying ;)

Emmalina, well the translation itself is "notarized" .. (it's called a notarized translation). so for your police certificate, get a legalized (notarized) translation and you're good to go.
