hey, yeah, you include your kid as well , it's your dependant. but hey, wait, if you're a canadian citizen, i think he gets canadian citizenship straight away? please make a new thread about it and seniors will respond to you.

we're in the same boat i see, finally someone applying thru Bucharest! ;D come join us in our little romanian thread: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/romanian-timeline-in-process-t88019.750.html

good luck to you!

CutiePie, I sent you a PM, but you haven't noticed :) Check it out!

Yes, I forgot to mention: my son is 18 months old and a Canadian citizen. He has already visited Canada to see his grandparents, my mom and dad :D

So, in this case, how do I proceed with the Q from my previous post?

Being a Canadian Citizen you can leave and return to Canada as you please, its your spouse the main applicant that is applying outland.

Thanx, Kev!! I thought so too.

Hey hey,

I'd like to join in on the fun!

I'm a Canadian citizen living in the Netherlands with my Dutch husband (we have one kid who has Canadian & Dutch citizenship with another on the way)and I'm sponsoring him...hopefully! I thought we had/have a pretty cut and dry case but now I'm getting nervous.

Anyways, our Sponsorship application was received in Mississauga May 27, 2014 and our VO is Vienna....btw: any light on that subject?! Why Vienna for Dutch applicants!? Paris and London are far easier to get to and geographically closer :-/

this is stupid. Vienna is horrible as a VO (according to some other users that go through Vienna as well). they're quiet for like 10 months after they receive ur app.. it takes around 14 months for you.

don't get nervous tho. seems like you have a strong case ;)

welcome, btw! add urself to the spreadsheet! (link in my description)

THEY received my app on 15th may .. 2014 .. so if any of u got any reply from cic please update ... hoping to get it soon ..thanks."

i guess, Your husband and your son goes in IMM0008 form box number 3 if your son lives with your husband and add your son as dependent
and then leave 6 and 7 as not applicable
and if you sponsored your son before and your son lives with you, i guess, then you might have to include him as previous undertaking a or b category or which ever applicable

Ok, but "Current undertaking" isn 't it only for my hubby, since our son is Canadian?

Hello nears and dears,
I m new on this forum.. I am also on same boat as you guys are.. I have applied as a spouse 14 May 2014 and CIC received my file on 16th may. Cuz today morning I have check ecas status. It shows we received xxx (name)file for permanent residence on 16May. When I can see full details of my application. still have not got any letter from them. Much appreciated with forum of you guys.. can you please let me know what next?

considering CIC hasn't even started processing applications from the date your application was delivered, the information you are seeing on ECAS isn't going to change until AFTER receiving AOR and/or SA. Generally, the reason why someone is able to see something on ecase before receiving AOR or SA is because there has been some previous applicaiton to CIC. I would suspect you will need to wait as the rest of the applicants. Also, keep in mind the ECAS system has been experiencing issues for a few days, so it may not be a reliable source at the momemt. For the most part, for a CURRENT PR application ECAS doesn't reflect the information until AFTER CIC has notified the sponsor of of AOR. Most have to wait 2-3 days AFTER receiving SA to use the system.

If you look on cic they're working on apps received may 8th. So you need to wait until the next update.

Does anyone know if the letters, emails and stuff that we have exchanged, and that I'm planning to scan, print out and attach, should be translated by a certified/sworn translator or they would accept my translation? Thanks :)

For those who have yet to receive AOR are you planning on calling the call centre after the date specified on the website. I.e if the next update says working on application received on May 14 and your file was received prior to this? I know a lot of us are anxious and I don't see the spreadsheet getting completed at all for May... Only just a handful receiving AOR. Do you think they can provide further information on the file if we call up? I'm just kind of curious..

It's very frustrating to see that the spreadsheet for May is filling up so slowly... The people whose applications were received within the first week of May are just barely getting AOR, well over the 55 days for processing time for SA that's posted on the CIC website. No idea what's holding them up.

Indeed, even for me, I don't know if I should really call what I got an AOR. I called them after not having received an AOR. Next day, they sent me an email saying your complete application file has been received, but they didn't have UCI# at the top. When I called the call center, the agent gave me my UCI# - I used this to login online to check the application status. It just says the application is received - not "In Process". So, clearly, the file is just sitting there. And they only sent me an email because I enquired I think - they wouldn't have if I didn't ask the status.

Past the long weekend, it looks like they just stopped working or are overwhelmed with millions of files ;)
