Mrs. Purcy, may be it would be better if you shared the content of the letter with us, so that we can dissect it and resolve the confusion. Of course, don't post any personal info, just the point of contention.

BTW, I got my AOR 8)
Congrats! At least there is good news for someone here!

Also, my husband sent everything in. What he did was fill in my part and his and signed everything and sent it off.

Is CIC really not going to look at the application until 45 days, even though they receive it this week...? That is completely unfair. It's not fair that the delay got hiked up to 55 days now some of us have to wait another 45 days? -.-

like said multiple times before, this is not necessarily going to happen. it seems people have different experiences. some have to wait, some do not. there's no knowing what's going to happen.

It's still very stressful, especially knowing that I came so close to the 55 day mark and knowing about being approved for Sponsorship.

Congrats to those who have received there AOR and/or SA.
:) :)
The average number of files CIC received each month is around 600. And our MAY members spread sheet is not even 5% of that.
Hopefully others might be getting AORs and SAs.
just trying to be hopeful.

This is 2013 data, which shows that some 600 cases were submitted in May 2013. Also, May seems to be the peak month, Nov & Dec were lowest months.

Thanks for the info but it can be different this year and we have no way of knowing it unless the data is updated

Yeah, it could be different that's why i wrote average.
Check that data excel sheet. Go to trends and down drop to Spouses, partners and children. category. it will give the number of files CIC received 2007 to 2013. The Percentage change was not much in number of applications received by CIC.
that's for the past six years and i guess this year wont be very different.

I cannot get how you guys came up with that number.

I guess before the switch to CPC-Mississauga the inland spousal sponsorship application were processed by Vegreville.

So Between Vegreville and Mississauga the number of spouse sponsorship application received is fairly consistent (a bit over 1000) for the whole year. For Vegreville there is a 30% increase in Q2 and 38% for CPC-Mississauga.

Secondly it shows only application received trends does not necessarily mean that CIC also works more and processes more application in those months. Just means that the pile grows bigger.

May be i am interpreting the data wrong.
