Why are you posting this in a bunch of different threads? I've seen this post now 3 times...once is sufficient.

just want to collect ideas, maybe someone received just like mine,, is it bad to ask help?
for what is this forum for?

Everyone knows you are looking for help and they are here to help you by posting responses. However, there is no need to post your question 9 times in various forums, and you seem to have a history of posting the same question multiple times. People here who are willing to help don't want to read it several times...once is enough. That is what the forum is for. Please post your questions in the subject or thread to which it applies, or simply create your own thread/subject. Everyone is here for help and information...your questions are important, but not more important than others on this board. Imagine if everyone posted their question 9 times...what would this forum look like?

Maybe look at this way...since I replied to your question in one of the posts, should I also post the same reply to all of your posts in all the different threads you posted it to? Does that make sense or perhaps one response is sufficient?

not just for 9 times .. Even more than that ;)

I agree, starting your own thread would have been a better option in this case. Those who are willing to help generally check multiple threads so either way it would have been seen.

Then I guess you might quickly find nobody willing to post responses to your questions and it may work against you. I have found some of the people with the most knowledge on the forum don't want to see posts more than 9 times.

Hello all!

Two updates:

First, when our application was initially returned to us in error, we sent it back immediately along with a cover letter which indicated we would be CC'ing the Minister of CIC on the correspondence. I did so by email and received an immediate auto-reply saying something along the lines of "We have received your correspondence and someone will get back to you within two weeks however we don't acknowledge complaints, individual claims, etc." So I thought that would go nowhere. HOWEVER! I did receive a reply a MONTH after I sent that email from one of the Minister's aides telling me that they inquired into our case and told CIC to reinstate us at our original application date! I was quite surprised! We received SA on September 8th.

Second, I have been logging into ECAS and our application status for my partner's PR is still "Application Received." I haven't received a confirmation letter that the application has been transfered and received in Ottawa (our VO) yet. Should that still be coming? It's been two and a half weeks since we received SA... Should I inqurie? Do you know if a confirmation email would be coming to me (the sponsor) or my partner (the applicant)? I was hoping that our ECAS status would say "In process."

Hope everyone is well! Thank you!

I am the principal applicant and my spouse was approved to sponsor on July 22nd. I did not receive any correspondence from CIC until they requested my passport and then a week after that email my ECAS status was updated to "in process".

Thanks, fumbler!

That's a relief. I just assumed there would be a Stage 2 AOR notification of some kind, although it does seem like CIC has been a bit spotty about their correspondence in some cases.

I suppose I should just keep waiting.

I have one more question that I overlooked, sorry!

When CIC sends you a passport request (or, otherwise, stage 2 AOR), do they send it by email? And will that go to the applicant or the sponsor?

Thank you!

I received my passport request by email to the principal applicant. It appears that after the sponsor is approved, all other correspondence will go to the principal applicants email or address if you did not provide an email for the principal applicant.

No need to apologize. There will be many things you overlook during this process and that is the norm lol.

Not sure if PPR is the same as 2 AOR with Ottawa... It's not so with Beijing applications

AOR 2 is just the overseas VO telling you they received your application, it has nothing to do with PPR.

Our Sponsorship was approved August 11 although I didn't find out until a week ago. Today we received the AOR2 from the Beijing office.

Seriously stop stirring up B.S. in this thread. go elsewhere to do that. Keep it real people we aren't children. We don't want to read through pages of complaining to get to the real purpose of this thread.
