i sponsored my wife .. when u check status through uci .. theres no detail just written received on 16th may .. and my wife dint get any email .. only i got the email that file transfered to london . n approved as a sponsor..

Hi all,
After reading some of the comments here, it appears that on SAs, people are getting the contact information for their overseas office-- e.g. London, etc. Is that listed under the "you may contact the office indicated below for further information..." section?

I was expecting our file to be transferred to London (DH is British, currently in Canada on an IEC visa), but we got the following address:
CPC Mississauga, Attention: FCPAPR
P.O. Box 6100, Station A
Mississauga, ON
L5A 4H4

Does that mean our file has been transferred to CPC-M with all the inland applications? We definitely filled out the outland forms.

are you sure that is a sponsor approval email, and not a document request? That address looks like where to send in missing forms/applications. I would recommend calling CIC to clarify what that means!

Nltocan, it's weird. i just checked our SA and it shows contact info for the Bucharest VO, so i'm confused, really. it's either an internal error or you're overly blessed and they decided to process your app in Ottawa (this VO is extremely fast - Zarilenth, a user here, had her husband's COPR in 5 months!)

it's weird tho.. Ottawa processes applications for USA habitants.. doesn't make sense. i would definitely call them. there's another "explanation": did you ever stay in USA more than 1 year? if so, you could've requested them to process your app at the VO of that country.. but in the end it's up to CIC to decide where they send the app.. ???

It's strange. Mine it says it will be processed in Abu Dhabi as that is where I'm staying and we have requested for it. I think they will be sending your papers to your country of residence. If you're living and residing in Bucharest, your papers should be processed there. Did you specify that in your application? If I rememember it right, there's a specific question pertaining to where you want your papers to be processed. Better you call CIC for clarification.

i wasn't talking about myself, i live in Romania therefore my app was forwarded to Bucharest VO, nothing wrong with that. i was talking about Nltocan's situation - he's dutch and his app got forwarded to Ottawa instead of Vienna.

It IS weird! Maybe I shouldn't bring any attention to it if they're really that fast... They might realize their mistake. Neither of us have ever spent any time living in the US, so that can't be it. The email address is ottpilot-immigration@cicblahblahblah and after some googling I did read something about a pilot project to speed up processing for busier VO's but as far as I can see that was only for PNP's and federal skilled workers applications.

We definitely did an Outland app and requested Vienna as our VO. I mean, if my husband needs an interview we'd rather travel to Vienna than all the way to Ottawa from Europe!

Only other thing I can think of is that in 2012 we did apply inland but we cancelled our application well before I ever got SA and received a full refund etc...

i would still contact them if i were you, IF they did a mistake it's better to point them to the right direction in order to avoid delays. IF they do start forwarding overseas apps to Ottawa because of busier VO's, well.. then.. you're a lucky b*stard
