So a small off topic bit of good news happened for me on Sunday. (2 days ago). I went to USA via land travel. Loaded up the car with some of her stuff and headed to the Canadian border. We crossed, answered honestly (intent to stay 6 months + wait for PR to process), and they were very helpful instead of the expected troubles. They pulled us to the side, gave us a 6 month visitor record, and even told us how to get an extension if we need it. Also said if we follow the rules and apply for extension on time, we would not be refused.

Long of the short, regardless of when the PR is approved, we are now living together! I hope it works out just as good for the rest of you. :D

that's good news Trav :D i would kill to stay with my husband throughout the process. you're lucky ;)

glad the border agents didn't give you two a hard time.

:o :) Wow. Luck indeed. So many possibilities of outcome in that scenario. Sounds like the Canadian border back in the early 70's - Congratulations on your time travel! ;)

uskyoot, Benni? have you received SA? .. i tell my husband to check his e-mail every day, lol. nothing until now. tomorrow we are at the 55-day mark.. :-X

No SA yet. The long weekend probably slowed things down......I'll let you know as soon as I receive it

Hi CutiePie52,

How are you counting your days? I thought I was at the 58-day mark having submitted on May 5th. Yours is 9th, right? You would be at 53 days?

I'm checking my mail every hour, nothing yet...

Hey guys would anyone know? I'm planning to have a vacation in my home country for 2 months to visit my wife and accdg to CIC that you have to be in Canada for the whole time the application is being processed. If it's just for 2 months, would that affect our application? Or should I let them know that I'm just gonna be there to visit.

CIC has updated the dataset with the list of applications being processed till end of 2013. it looks there are not many applications in 2013 Q4, hopefully the processing time gets expedited now.

neochanges, you filed your application on May 8th, 2014 and you received an email about Option C missing, right? That means they touched files from May 8th already...though it wasn't good news for you.

neochanges, it really depends. are you a canadian citizen? if so, feel free to visit your wife for as much as you want ;). but you're a PR, then i'm afraid you can't leave Canada :(

Raj, i don't like the new data set. it doesn't show refusal rates anymore, neither processing times for 20,30,40 % of apps, etc...

this dataset doesn't say too much to me ::)

Anybody else in May got any AOR yet? Still waiting... I'm approaching 60 days now.

Nothing yet :( surprised no-one else has received their AOR yet. I guess we have to also keep in mind that July 1st was a statutory holiday too.
