May applicant you guys very quite.. Is there anyone heard anything from CIC? I filed application on 29th May 2014 and couple of weeks ago I saw ECAS has added 2nd line as we start processing your application on 11th July 2014. I am not sure why they are displaying that date, actually that was the date of my AOR. I have done medical in feb and RPRF in June upfront still medical is not updated on ECAS.
I am not sure what they are doing its already more than 15 months. I am very frustrated.

Hi Admin...please update my status. I can't remember any time line dates though but i have just sent our passports to Ottawa for the PR Visa, after completing medical checks and paying all fees. Once passports come back, we will 'land'. I did find all the various discussions very useful to manage my own frustrations of waiting for a year before any movement took place. Good luck all

I would also like to say thank you to everyone on this forum. We have just received the request for passports last night on September 2 on my daughter's birthday. We are so happy. It said Decision Made and we received the email yesterday. Our last submission of medical records was on July 27, 2015 so it is more than 31 days before we received the final decision.

Hi guys...i do have one confusion though. Once i get my passports back with the PR visa, then i will 'land'. As i have been living in Canada since Jan 2013, i should then straightaway get the PR card, am i right? Or, is the PR Card only given to me after 2 years of staying as a PR in Canada? Secondly, if my family has got PR status but i leave to take up a job elsewhere but leave them behind here, there is no issue as they are now PRs, even if my wife does not work currently, but they can stay and my daughters can go to school here. They will qualify for Canadian citizenship much sooner than me obviously if they continue to live in Canada whilst i stay outside - though i will be paying Canadian taxes as well and be treated as a non-resident for tax purposes. Did i get all this right? Thanks for any expert views from the star members whose advice and guidance in these forums have been awesome

Applied for PR, joint application for me and my wife, under CEC
23th may 2014, application locked in CEC
Feb 2015, Got Medical request for me, no medical request for my wife.
23th July: Received passport request.

Just got off the phone to the Call Center, they told me that they are STILL awaiting background checks, but we're not over the 2 weeks of the 14 months yet, so its still not overdue. (AOR = 11th June 2014). So we're 14 Months today.

MAY 29TH/30TH APPLICANTS!! - LETS KEEP THIS POST UPDATED, SOUNDS LIKE WERE ALL IN THE SAME BATCH.

........ Yawn, I will keep waiting and let you know if anything comes in the mean time.

I am also 29th May Applicant and I saw 2 line updated 1 month ago that we started processing your application on 11 July 2014. I have done upfront medical but its not updated on ECAS yet

my timelines are similar as yours, my AOR was 12th July 2014 and i sent them a mail and this is the standard response i got again:

Our office confirms that your application is at our office and is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.



We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within six (6) months as this could delay your application.

after RPRF later in the evening received medical request for spouse.

I replied back with the medical which she did for her work permit application as it was just 5 months old.

CIC just emailed me said they have not received my medical results yet and I need to contact my dr to send the results asap. Thing is I have high bloodpressure and the dr is sending me to see a cardiologist end of next month. She said she has put a note on the system and CIC will be able to see that I checked in at her office and is sent to further testing.

Should I tell the dr to send the results anyways or wait for the report from the cardiologist? Im worry if I don't submit it asap it might fall through the crack and got rejected for late submission.

Help please!
