So did u send them fingerprints yet??

I did the fingerprints at a private centre as per the website on Thursday. They uploaded the fingerprints to RCMP. RCMP will send us the search results / clearance which I plan to courier to CIC.

Again this is my understanding of the process, please correct me if I am wrong.

yes i did the same. It will take a week or two for them to process it and you will recieve it to the provided address.

Today, I have received an email from CIC and in that email they are requesting for "RCMP".

Following is the the email they have sent me:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

Ø Police Certificate: A certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints. Please consult the following http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm for detailed instructions.

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED THIS DOCUMENT, PLEASE DISREGARD THIS REQUEST. WE WILL CONTACT YOU WITH FURTHER INSTRUCTION ONCE A VISA OFFICER HAS REVIEWED YOUR APPLICATION.

I have already sent my RCMP(with fingerprints) with my application when i applied in the month of May.

I want to know if I need to again send them new RCMP?

Hey Guys,

I did receive medical request on 24 Dec and did medical on 5th Jan, Doctor said that it has been uploaded on 12th Jan. But my ECAS status is not updated, it only says application received on May 16th.
Can you please let me know is it normal to take this much of time for the status change on ECAS.

Me too.. Got a request for medical last nov 28 2014 and did my upfront on dec 16 2014.. Until now i havent recieved any update on my Ecas.. just hoping for the best...

Yes I did submit my application without the RCMP criminal record and I have received my medical request.

Have you request GCMS notes yet? If not then please do that ASAP. I cannot emphasize the importance of these notes.

Yes, I requested my GCMS notes just yesterday. Can't wait to find out what it says.

I sent an email to CIC on Jan 29, 2015(same day when I received email from them for the RCMP) for the clarification if I need to re-submit RCMP and I am still waiting for their reply.

My application was received 2nd May 2014,AOR received 11th June 2014,RCMP request 30th June,then nothing until the MR 3rd December,now we are waiting for the RPRF email.
A friend of mine who now has his residency got his RPRF email the day after his MR email,hoping ours comes soon.

I'm already in Canada and didn't get asked for RCMP. I got my medical request in January.

Seems like it might be a random request they do... maybe my RCMP request is still coming, it's hard to predict sometimes!

Hi Friends,

I’m wondering if someone can comment on my issue. My work permit expires on Mar 19th (next month) I’m still waiting on my AOR. Hopefully in another 10 days. Just in case if I’m not get my AOR on time (don’t want to be negative but just wanted to know my options  ) I would apply for BOWP without AOR writing an explanation letter. I have seen people not receiving BOWP without AOR. By the time I know whether they are issuing my BOWP or not it would be past my work permit expiry. In that case after expiry would I be able to apply for LMO still ?
