I have no idea. I called my bank (scotiabank) about this, they told me it is really hard to track it and I sent the the whole money order with receipt too...

Hi Folks,

I have applied for PR in May 2014 under CEC category. I see that CIC has charged the fee to my credit card. It has been 2 days since then, but I have not received the AOR# via email notification from them yet (I had provided my email ID on the application).
1. Is this a sign that my application has been rejected?
2. How long do they typically take to charge the fee and notify via email?

Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks,
adipadi

Hi There,
1. Is this a sign that my application has been rejected? - No. This means you're application is under review
2. How long do they typically take to charge the fee and notify via email?
Going by the current statistics, it will probably take 2 weeks for you to receive AOR via e-mail. My CC was charged yesterday and I'd probably receive the e-mail by July 09, 2014.

Thanks Ravi4PR. This helps.

I got curious since for a few of my friends, the charging of the fee and receiving the AOR# via email happened on more or less the same day. So I wonder why it may be different in my case.

Thanks,
adipadi

It took 5 days for me and if you look at the spreadsheet - most of the applicants received it after a week or two.

And I received mine in 4 days, so there's no rule..

You guys are the lucky one to get AOR in weeks time. Hopefully we'll get lucky too. But in most case people are receiving AOR email < 2 weeks time.

Hi everyone! Here's my situation, I applied for PR through CEC on May 20th. My application was received on May 23rd. Credit Card was charged today, June 27th. My work permit (PGWP) is going to expire on July 11, 2014. I knew beforehand that I was short of time and wouldN't probably make it to apply for Bridging Work Permit because AOR is gonna take long (maximum 2 weeks)..... so my employer applied for LMO me a few months back to buy some time . I got a positive LMO and applied for a work permit online on June 10th. I checked the processing time for this. It seems like they keep changing from 14 days, 15 days- 16 days. I keep checking my application status on my CIC account and it says a final decision hasn't reached yet. Today is the 16th day and my application has exceeded the normal processing time. What is the best thing to do? Call the CIC or just wait a couple more days? Thanks.
