Write a mail to your employer clearly stating that you require a letter for your PR. Also mention your NOC code roles and responsibilities, when you joined the organization, your total Canada experience in your mail. Let them respond that they can not provide you the letter and submit their response along with your original mail to CIC. I know a similar case and the person did the same and he got his PR. Since Canada government encouraging for PR and you are not doing anything illegal. so if your organization refuse to provide the letter then it will only make your case strong.
I'm not sure about this anni_in. I'm thinking that this will take a negative effect on my employment. Its really frustrating.

Hello All

APP RECEIVED: MAY 15th, 2013
AOR RECEIVED: JULY 5th, 2013
ECAS CHANGED TO IN PROCESS: FEB 01 2014
MEDICAL REQUEST: Jan 31 2014
MEDICAL DONE: FEB 5 2014

I had my medicals done today, appointment was at 5 pm.. I arrive at 450 pm.. Filled in a couple of papers and consents... They the dr took me in, took a photo of me, asked me for a urine sample, then we went to the exam room, I took my shirt off. The doc looked into my ears and shined a light in my eye then asked me to follow his fingers with my eyes.. Then he listened to my heart , lungs and felt my tummy... Last thing did reflexes, weighed me and did the vision test. I paid the money and left with the req to do the x ray..

They said they will upload results within a week,.. The girl at the desk , whispered to me saying.. Call them on Monday, the doc who reads x ray is slow and lazy.. RPRF AND bio data already paid and done..

So now the wait for the passport request begin...

Does anyone know how many photos I need and what are the requirememts for them, so I can do them and be prepared for the passport request ;)

Looked like a dream for me last year.. Weather was *censored word*ty today and the doc asked me if I still want to go.. I said I will come no matter what, as I wanted this to get done and wanted to get over that ...

I wish that everyone who is waiting to get accepted and pass through these happy and costly moments..

Days to be remembered

Thanks all for help.

A comment about having a lawyer as my representative...

I regret every penny that I paid for a lawyer, they don't do anything more that deserves 3000 dollar. They only ask you for info and write it down , then send it. They never contacted cic to ask about my case, I was always the one who is worried and even sent for GCMS notes twice without getting bothered to tell them about it.

When I apply for the citizenship I will do I myself, I have a brain and a couple of eyes, all instructions and forms are on the web with clear instructions. So I will it.

The Bottom line, if you have a problem in your case, like having no reference letter, hiring a lawyer would not increase your chances, it will only make you loose money and feel stupid later on. Lawyer have no secret powers and cic does not treat them any better or give them more info on the case , more than they would give anyone else. Also processing is not faster when you hire a lawyer, actually, it is slower , because each time u need to do the things and then , send it to him to just forward it !!!!

Good luck... This is my opinion and it only applies to me, you are more than welcome to say you don't think so and pay the money that you sweat to earn

Hahah u r right and taking my blood pressure too.. I was just to tell people what to expect, some people might be too scared and keep thinking about will be done to them.. Like no one will take your pants down , play with ur balls or stick a finger from behind to feel the prostate.. Guys calm down ,,, all is good..

By the way saw a woman their doing her tests ,, today was her first day of her period, so the doc did the exam but told her to come back a week later to do the urine test as she said if she does it now the urine will be full with blood.. So girls when you book your Medicals , make sure not to book on a day on which u expect to have your period on!! Sorry if I am so g r o ss

Asking for an employement proof is an employee's right. In case they refuse to issue you a letter, please ask them to documents and share the same on an email. You can share the same document with CIC & let them know that as per the company policy they do not issue any such letter.

I do agree with you but you have to take a risk. Do you have BOWP? You can work for another employer. In my view your priority should be PR not the job

You are 100% correct but by hiring services from lawyer we try to mitigate our risk and I did the same. I will not regret on my decision once I will land successfully :)

I provided everything with the initial package. I did not receive RPRF & Bio Data. Really worried now and not sure how to deal with this. My employer is not willing to provide another letter.
Hi, a quick question. Was your employer letter including everything required by cic? Most importantly, the job duties and responsibilities?

MR - 01/22/2014
PPC - 01/23/2014
Medicals Done - 02/04/2014

My ECAS changed to "in process" yesterday..said - we started processing your application on February 3rd 2014

No RPRF/BIO yet..

this is very inconsistent.

I am guessing my file is under review as I haven't received RPRF/BIO yet? What do you guys think?

I am of the only few that got their medicals before "in process" and no RPRF.. do you think their process changed and all of us got their medicals all of a sudden.

Hi,

I have been following this forum regularly although didn't registered until today. I am a May 2013 applicant (App received date May 15, AOR July 3, 2013).

The status of my application changed to "In Process" on January 31, 2014. However my attorney is telling he hasn't recieved any intimation yet from cic on MR. I have also raised a GSMS on Feb 2, 2014 for this.

Really getting impatient now on why there is no MR intimation yet from cic. Did anybody heard of a similar case like this before?
