Can anyone please tell me what is the maximum number of months it takes for CIC to process a PR application under the Express Entry system?
On the website, it states that 80% of the applications shall be processed within 6 months. My 6 months got due on 9 October, but still it seems as if my file will take a lot more time. The 'Eligibility Criteria' and "Background Check" are still under process. Interview has not been scheduled for now.
Also, does the geographical location of the applicant affect the time taken to process the application? I live in Muscat, Oman.
