Dear Friend,

In Canada there is no restrictions for of age for education in an community college. I have seen individuals aged between 17 to 32 get admissions. This does not mean that a individual aged 50 or 60 would get admission.

Hey Amy, this really depends on the college you're applying to. Some colleges allow international students to apply under the mature student category as long as they're 19 or higher and do not have a highschool diploma or a certificate of completion. Each college has its own mature student policy so it really depends, some colleges restrict the ability to apply as a mature student to domestic students only while other colleges allow both international and domestic students to apply as mature student. You should know that mature students who never passed grade 11 or grade 12, are sometimes required to take "skill assessment tests". If they achieve terrible scores on these tests (usually English & Math), they may be required to do 'academic upgrading' before they could specialize in a certain program. Just something to keep in mind, usually if you have a diploma or anything else that can prove that you have passed grade 11 and grade 12 successfully, use it in your application, it's just better.
