I would really appreciate your advice on this one:
I have currently been working for DHL since 2001 in the IT department. Started as System administrator for 2 years, then Infrastructure Specialist for 3 years, then Testing analyst for 1 year and since 2007 I have the title of IT product manager. However, my job duties are more related to NOC code 2281 (and I don't supervise anyone).
I have a master's degree, but in Criminology, so totally unrelated to IT.
Do you think the job duties below correspond to NOC code 2281?:
• Design, install, maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, mobile equipment, secure remote
access configurations, networking software & hardware, operating system software and software
applications
- Example: “Paperless Cockpit project”: distribute remotely managed DHL Corporate iPads to DHL
pilots to replace flight bags: 750 iPads, machinebased certification multifactor, Airwatch MDM, Cisco
VPN & ISE, IBM MQ, Active Directory, SCEP server & Proxy server global changes, Globalsign DHL
PKI infrastructure, DHL Global WIFI system
• Collaborate as a team member with other technical staff to ensure connectivity and compatibility
between systems and work with vendors to resolve hardware/software and network problems
• Configuration and maintenance of messaging solutions over secure connections to the internet
and third party networks
- Example: High-available, mission-critical connections with third parties i.e. Lufthansa,
AirHongKong, Aerologic, Polar, Monarch, Bluedart, SITA (#130 total)
• Manage user accounts and provide second and third line support services to users
- Example: Main Global Aviation IT contact for client-and-hardware-based Cisco VPN
implementations and user support contact for public Citrix gateway https://aviportal.dhl.com
• Design and set up network and availability monitoring software, and optimize application
performance by obtaining test data through loadtesting
• Perform middleware validation testing
• Main IT contact for PKI (GlobalSign CA/Symantec): SSL certification of full application portfolio
• Control web navigation
• Build and plan network infrastructure, supervise access to IT networks
