Married after PR, not inform the embassy

Hello all,

I have landed and achieved permanent resident of Canada in 2011.I have got married in India in Jan, 2012. I have PR card.

My question: Is this mandatory to inform the Canadian embassy that I have got married?

No, because you married after you got your PR, you do not have to inform anybody. However, if you want your spouse to be able to live with you in Canada, you will have to sponsor her for PR in which case, you will have to tell them :)

janathan mate ur words seemed to b correct most the time but now days it seems u r vry frustated n write without observation/evaulation ,dnt wry mate iam exactly with u in NOC n Processing date Oct 2010 as of yrs.
