Hi everyone, I have a question to ask. My sister is planning on marrying her fiancé who lives in the United States. She is Canadian and they plan on doing this wedding in the states. They plan to live separately for a few years as she still works, and he comes to visit her and she visits him. Does she need anything to get married in the US as she will not be remaining there? Please advise.
much appreciated

A wedding license?

But not living with each other when married is strange. Why getting married in the first place then? Convenience? At some point they will have to make up their mind and make a decision.

Right now she can’t as she works and he doesn’t want to live in Canada. It works good. Back and forth. I just asked as I thought she doesn’t need a K1. Form as she is not residing f there

They are both just wondering about paperwork. But if she isn’t staying there or him not coming to
Canada I guess no paperwork except marriage license.
