Marriage status change

Hi every ones,

one of my employee (foreign worker) has been working here for 4 years and was married now she is divorce with her ex hubby in Philippine. does any one know what form should need to fill out and where to get it.
If any ones know what form for change of marriage status. please advise.

Were you thinking that CIC needs to be informed of the change in marital status? If your employee is a foreign worker and her ex-husband is in the Philippines, there's no reason CIC needs to know. There are no forms for this anyway.

I think CIC wouldn't be too concerned about this, but if you want to verify, contact them and seek their direction at 1-888-242-2100. Wait till Tues, April 2nd to call.

She can't just change her marital status that easy most especially when it comes to changing her last name. If she wants to do it and change the names in her CIC documents, then she needs to apply for a new work permit using her new name and with that she needs to provide a Passport where indicates her new name.
