Sorry if this has already been posted but i searched the threads and could not find the answer.
Basically I'm a little confused. I am due to be married and the wedding commissioner asked if I would be taking my husband to be last name. I want to however I think I will wait to get my passport/official documents changed until after I hopefully get PR to save any more confusion and incase we get a quick PPR. (you never know )
anyway when I sign the marriage on the day of the wedding, if i'm going to change my name to my husbands in the future, do I sign his last name or do I have to sign my own name because I will not be officialy changing it until after PR.

You sign the marriage register with your maiden name. As the minister who married us told me "This is the last time you sign this name".

He failed to take account of years of habitually signing my maiden name, it took me another 3 months to get used to signing my married name without thinking about it first!
