Marital Status on TRV application

Hi,

I'm thinking of applying for a TRV before my conjugal partner sponsors my family class visa.
In the marital status, should I select "single" or "common-law"? My partner and I didn't live together continuously for a year but we do have a committed relationship for 5 years now.

I did put "common law" for my TRV application that was just recently refused.... i will re-apply. I also submit supporting documents to prove our relationship as common law.
