My understanding is that the processing time that applies to us is the one that was posted when one applies (confirmed by an immigration lawyer). In February, processing time was 8 months. We are beyond that now!
I met someone through friends this weekend that has applied early March and got FP request in June. She's still waiting for her BG and PH. I started to think our batch is sitting somewhere collecting dust. How is it that all of us haven't heard back yet? There was a batch clearance in Aug 28 and another one Nov 10.

Its either all of us in this batch went into comprehensive screening or, like you said, someone completely forgot about it. This was the june 11 fp request.

Folks. I just came across this page and something caught my attention

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...s/canadian-citizenship/adult-minor/after.html

It says that we should contact IRCC if we plan to leave canada for than 2 weeks in a row! I didn’t know that such rule existed. I had travelled with family during summer for just over 2 weeks and I didn’t inform them. Coincidentally the last update I had on my tracker was exactly 14 days after I had left on that trip.

IRCC mentions that if we don't tell them, an application can be delayed or abandoned all together.

Not sure what to do at this point. Anyone was in same situation? I’m just now thinking this might be the reason we are being delayed.

You're overthinking, if it was just a trip, don't worry about it.

I'm exactly in the same boat. AOR in March, FP in June, waiting for BG and LPP.

OMG. I got FP request on June 11 as well.
Are you in Montreal by any chance. It seems there is a bunch us from March who got the fp request in June and didnt hear back. What @Hwallikniw mentioned about our files being forgotten might actually make sense. Not sure if there is anything we can do collectively

Yes I'm in Montreal, but I called IRCC last Month and was told that office in Vancouver. they also confirmed that they have the FP results from RCMP, but my BG is not updated.

@wertymin24 oh wow! There is at least 5 people on this thread who are in that situation!
Same here. We confirmed that they have the results and that the file is in Vancouver. Again, not sure if there is a way for us to get our files to move as they might just pending because of an administrative issue or our officer is on a long holiday

Count my spouse too! Both of us applied in march separately and both still waiting on BG and PH. When I called my application was transferred from Sydney to Vancouver.

I’m an April applicant but in the same boat as you’ll. I submitted group application with my spouse, both were requested for fingerprints in July. My spouse’ BG was marked complete in the big batch update end of August but not mine.

I spoke with an IRCC agent last week; he mentioned my FP part of background was complete (RCMP?). My file is in Sydney.

Hoping BG clears before the Christmas break, looking very bleak though.

Okay, that's good. Then you didn't do anything wrong. So, you can and should complain, see here:
https://ircc.canada.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=464&top=1

They are supposed to inform you they can't do it within 30 days - and then they have an extra 30 days, in most cases. But by all means complain.

I'd also suggest applying for gcms records (same formulation basically) to CBSA. CBSA seems more on top of these things and does them on time, and also sometimes includes a tiny bit more info.
I will raise a complaint. I am already frustrated with the application being stuck on Background and Prohibition for months now.
Does CBSA handle physical presence only?
