Agent. They told me they will mail it to RCMP and RCMP will mail the results to IRCC. Nothing to to do from my side. I havent received anything from anyone since. Just a ghost update a day after I visited the agent.
my wife went to police station to give fingerprints, said they would mail the results to her in about 2 weeks and then she sends them on. 2 weeks and still waiting (he said it'd be about 2 weeks and if nothing by end of July to contact him :( ) I think it was $75 Nothing moves forward till that is sorted. Very frustrating to say the least.

FP are taking a long time. Submitted mine on May 2nd. RCMP mailed them to IRCC on 8th May. IRCC received them just yesterday.

Hi guys,
Would appreciate your clarification on the below:

I received my Canadian citizenship and was advised to go to BLS to surrender my Indian passport. However on the website its mentioned to go to Service Canada for applying a new Canadian passport.
What's the actual process ?

Thanks :)
The sequence is
1- apply for Canadian passport
2- surrender Indian passport after getting Canadian passport
3- apply for OCI if you are interested, it’s highly recommended

I would like to know if there is anyone still expecting a test invitation for AOR - April 7, although my background check was completed on May 31, and I have not received a test invitation.

Just to be clear , do you mean Application submitted April 7 or AOR e-mail received from IRCC on April 7? I understand that with IRCC, applications and their timelines may vary. If you are over 54 , you would not need to write a test. Other than that, I will suggest you consider sending a web form or call IRCC. Going by timelines here, most April AORs have received test invitation. But like I implied earlier, processing seems to be on a case by case basis.

I am concerned about it. my AOR is April 7, I submitted my application online on March 15, BG completed on May 31. My age is not 54 but 47 and I have called and even sent a webform twice, but they keep saying everything looks good and is in progress.

found this information which makes really sense for diff between background check and prohibition :

background check ircc just gather data about applicant : criminality , security and immigration history ( seems that in this step many 3rd party agencies involved) - here they will just gather data

prohibition step ircc wont gather that data again , they will use the already gathered data in bg check , presence and other steps , analyze and apply all of the prohibition rules to make a final decision ( the same rules we had to check when applying answering yes/no)

this explains in almost all cases if one step is in progress , prohibition will also be in progress ( because they need the data resulted of that other step to finish prohibition)

Then I would encourage you by asking you to patiently wait. You got a background completed so your file is not stagnant. I’ve seen in this forum some April AORs receiving oath invitation while some January AORs are still waiting. Case by case basis, remember. Application is still within the advertised 10 months processing time. . Wishing you all the best and hope you get the test invite soon.
