don't worry they have to clear 49000 files by end of this year, we all are in the queue, patience is a virtue, and trust me the system is very fast as compared to last year, This pandemic has ruined everything and unfortunately we sent paper applications which are delivered when the office is closed, so this much is pretty obvious that nothing is in order... every time we call them it is recorded in their system, and this is the reason the agents get rude sometimes. Please co-operate with them, they are really doing good...
I don't even have a temp number yet and I am a March 25th applicant...

Sorry to say, but they're actually not 'doing good'. These agents get paid to provide us information, even if they have to do it 10 times the same day and they have to do it as accurately as possible. If everyone on this forum sees people from June getting AORs and a lot of March applicants have gotten AORs and SAs, then those pending have the right to know what is actually happening when they call - not get rude responses in return. We aren't allowed to be rude to our clients, and that is how they should talk to us ( we = their clients ).

Exactly, some March applicants have ZERO updates when June files are moving ahead. This only makes me feel like they're not bothering with those files. It is only normal to feel stressed out about the whole situation. The agents should give clarity about the situation rather than giving contradictory answers.

What is the average processing time at CPC-Ottawa nowadays?
Anyone having a generic idea
Sending Outland files to Ottawa is a new process they seemed to have introduced to attend to the COVID backlog; as such, no average processing time exists, although some have speculated it would take on a role similar to Mississauga in that more ‘straightforward’ files are sent there and thus processing times are generally lower. What that means in this day and age is anyone’s guess!

We had our MP inquire about our application. They confirmed they had it and were doing a completion test before assigning it to an agent. March 19 applicant here
