My husband is sponsoring me, he lives in Edmonton, Alberta.

We send our application on 27th March 2017.
Received on 29th March 2017.

Waiting for a response from AOR.

Does it take longer than the usual if the principal applicant is from Pakistan ?
Since Edmonton is not very populated , are there any chances of getting our application approved earlier ?

The CIC gave 12 months as a estimated time of application approval, but it can take less time if your case is strong and you have provided all the required documents. Right ?

If your case is straightforward (no red flags) and sufficient evidence is provided of the genuineness of your relationship, there should not be a need for interview, and so your case should be processed under 13 months.

No. The processing time depends on where your Visa Office is, not where the sponsor is residing. In your case, applications of Pakistani nationals are processed in London, United Kingdom whose processing time is 13 months as per CIC webiste.

Yes and No. Apart from completeness of documentation & strong relationship/case, processing time also depends on the workload/backlog at the Visa Office.

You can check the spreadsheet in my signature. Till now 2016 applications were processed in average time of 8.6 months.
However you should keep an estimate of 8-13 months.

The whole immigration process, in general, takes approximately 12 months. No matter what kind of immigration you apply for, it will the processing time on the Visa Office, the documentation collecting, etc.

Cic website says to submit only 20 photographs and under 20 chat/emails/receipts as relationship proof. Can we send more photos and proves of our relationship?
Please also guide that what original documents are to be submitted with application.
