Quick question.does it mean decision is positive If get ppr request for visitor visa ?

i would assume yes. they wouldn't request your passport if they were planning to reject you.

Dont worry hammycapry, CIC is inconsistent, I never received AOR2 from NDVO but has PR side processing and with 3 lines. Plus, ECAS isnt updated as often so it will show up in the next 5-7 days in ECAS.

ECAS is the electronic online portal where you can check the status of your applicaiton processing. it's not very reliable, and most people can't sign into it until AFTER sponsor approval. this is not a good source to know what is happening with the application, because either a) it's not updated by the officer/office or b)it reflects information you already know through correspondence from CIC. I would recommend checking it out and signing in every so often to see if anything changes, however I would NOT recommend obsessively checking it daily, as that just leads to disappointment and anxiety.

My wife finally received her COPR and Passport from Ottawa today. Ottawa took 3 weeks to stamp and send her passport back. Planning to do flag-poling at rainbow bridge over this weekend. ;D ;D ;D

Got home from work to find CoPR in the mailbox! (Dated May 24th) Although I was prepared to wait for a year (currently 11 months for Japanese nationals)

From AOR to CoPR, it took less than 3 months... I am guessing it could of been 2 months if we did Medical upfront.

For the rest of you that are still waiting for SA, DM or CoPR. I am sure it just around the corner so please do not be discourage. I would suggest to just check the ECAS once a week. Checking it too much will just wear your patience down, it is not reliable source for updates so I hope they somehow update the system.

I for one received emails from CIC and Ottawa office regarding AOR, SA and Medical check emails but no DM email from Ottawa(found out on ECAS). The whole process was very informative and smooth for me. Except for that part where I had to send the package back because I forgot to sign one paper.

If any of you need any help, I'll still be around to try help answer some questions.

I think it's possible both of your applications could have become "shuffled" so to speak (somehow being placed at the bottom of the pile). Many people have received responses from MPs, the call center, and case specific enquiries so far that CPC-M is very busy right now. I think they're struggling to get sponsorship approvals done in time and to be honest they seem fairly disorganized. I really hope that you get your approvals soon. I think the same thing happened to a few Jan/Feb applicants too. I'm really sorry it's taking so long.

My husband has not been able to get through to the MP since we wanted to try for the last time to contact CIC today on Friday. Its just that the wait is not interesting.

I know like for our case they requested for an additional document which we uploaded on the same day. They acknowledged on the 6th of may the receipt of the document. I agree it may just be pressure and confusion at CIC that at times causes abnormal delays. My husband has not been able to get through to the MP since we wanted to try for the last time to contact CIC today on Friday. Its just that the wait is not interesting.

On Monday I called and they said that we got SA a few days before on Friday, so it's been a week and I still haven't received an email. They were supposed to send out an email by Wednesday, according to the call center. I saw people who applied after/the same day as me and they already had their SA and the PR side go "in process" (and two got DM) by the time I even had SA. It seems that there's always a few people who fall way outside of normal processing times for no good reason, and I know how frustrating it is to be in that situation.

If it helps, my eCAS didn't change until yesterday, 6 days after they officially approved my SA. You could have technically been approved a few days ago without the PA side changing to "in process".

Just logged onto ecas and saw Decision Made!! Was not expecting it this quickly at all!

We're weren't planning on moving until late November though....hopefully that will still be OK.

At any rate, glad the process is over, and hopefully the folks who are still waiting will get some answers soon.
