Hey guys, got my first GCMS notes today, good news is my wife passed her medical, I haven't told her yet, but I'm sure she will be thrilled considering she's super paranoid about her health, even though she's young and healthy.

There's also some notes by the VO, wonder what it means?

Hope this file.

Oh i think its a good sign if they are shredding the documents...like all the proof...i hope you get your approval soon.

Thanks a lot! I'm not sure its a good sign or not, because that update happened on the same day I got AOR #1, in Misissisauga. I don't know how they can decide to shred the extra stuff when it hasn't gotten to Singapore VO. How are things going with your file? Did you get a decision yet?

ecas is working now but nothing change, still theysame application received.

Honestly I think ecas sucks, GCMS is way better. It's only $5, sure it isn't free, but its way more detailed than the typical "Medical results have been received" message you get everyday :D

I think it should be the other way round , your husband should fill that out sign and scan it to you so that you order the note on his behalf . Select email to recieve it as that seem Better and easier for them , we just did that few days ago and we have 21 days more to get it . All the best

How long did it take to get your notes from the time you requested it?

well i think if they are shredding stuff then most likely they dont need it so maybe it means you have enough proof. it would make sense to me. I think they would not shred it if they thought it was needed for an appeal or something. Who knows i am just getting more confused with cic methodology lol. With me things are still the same ...no news at all...on ecas all it says application received on april 10th and medical received....i will send request for caips tomorrow most likely. I wish i send for it before the interview but had no idea it was going to be so fast as there was no indication on ecas.

yes he is sending me the signed consent form...i send it to him first because he did not know where to find it so he just has to fill it out and scan and email it back to me.

no i don't think so. OTtawa doesn't seem to be a visa office that requires physical passports for passport requests. Generally, if a passport is requested from Ottawa, then they request copies of the pages, not the physical document. It sounds to me like they figured out they shouldn't have it, and want to return it to you. How did Ottawa obtain your physical passport?

Did you send in your physical passport with your application?? Ottawa will never ask for your passport as American's don't need a physical visa. They may ask for a scanned copy, and you'll just get your Copy of PR in the mail.

Thanks for the speedy response Zarilenth and Rhcohen2014.

I sent in my physical passport because I saw on one of these forums that sometimes Ottawa requests the physical passport. I thought it would save time if I just sent the my passport with my PR application. I already have a visitors visa and passport card, so I could do without the passport book. I'm assuming the visa officer just scanned my passport into the system and is sending it back? ( not gonna lie, I also wanted a counter-foil ) . lol

Oh! Well I guess that's a good thing - it shows they've gotten to your application. I wonder if that means they're not going to request a copy of your passport.. given they are sending back the actual one!
