I have sent my application in October 2013

So I called CIC today about my application being past the processing time, and the agent gave me a temporary case number and told me they were having some kind of delay across the board, but didn't elaborate what it was. Also told me to send an email to Misisssauga and give him his agent #. If I don't get a reply next week , I'll phone up again. INteresting thing to note, CPC Mississauga does not have a phone number listed.

Lazy bunch of people ! :( they have delayed from 29 to 34 now 39 days :'(

wait till tomorrow it might be..seems like they wasted a week!

Yeah when i called them, the agent says they were experiencing an "across-the-board" delay for everyone, but didn't say what it was or why. And he says he's unable to push CPC Mississauga to inquire about my application being past the posted times until the next weekly update on the processing times, (which is supposed to be yesterday, because the last update was Apr 23, so the next one should be Apr 30).

Hey Mikey! Glad to hear you already called them but not contented of the agent's answer to your queries, my husband told me maybe they're experiencing these "across-the-board" delays because of Holy Week, though I don't know if it's going to affect the number of days for processing of our applications. But still we will try to phone them to have a piece of mind, because we're like crazy opening his e-mail everytime and hoping one of the inbox would come from CIC.

When I called them in February they also said they were experiencing a 'delay' that they couldn't specify. I think that's their go-to excuse.

Yeah I'm always refreshing the CIC page for updates and my inbox too. Hate all these delays.

Well that sucks :(

This is really frustrating. I mean there's nothing we can do but over 2 weeks the processing times increased by 11 days? Ugh. And for me I'm thinking they might send it back to me and I was trying to be proactive so I sent my husband the updated forms to sign and they were supposed to arrive last week and they still weren't there on Tuesday. Things just aren't going my way. Looks like the docs might be lost in the mail and if they do return my application after 39 days, there won't be enough time to get the forms signed from him before his criminal record check expires.

Just sucks cause originally was expecting an answer this week and now the way things are looking I will be lucky to hear something before may long weekend.

Just so you know, it's not 100% confirmed the wait time is 39 days, it's still 34 on the website.

For me, when I called them, they asked me my name, phone #, then he asks, "Is _________________ your address?", I said yes, and he told me my application was received (I guess an unoffocial AOR?), but no notes on my application, so I know they didn't lose my application.

Well that's good but for me none of the temporary AORs would mean anything to me unless someone could confirm that my application passed their completeness test. And I don't know that they could confirm that. I have heard of people being told that and aor has been generated in the system just hasn't been sent out yet, I guess that's the only way a phone call would reassure me. But I'm not even at 34 days yet so there's no point in trying to call.

Mike am happy you heard from them, they told us the same thing and made us confirm our infos and have us temporary number that we can mention to them when we call again, it a good sign that they touched your package and it right infront of them. So should hear from them in the next few days. Today or Monday . Just to add guys our application got there on 21st and they updated the forms on the 27th. So even if you sent 10 days before it got updated you should be ok . It applications that got sent on the 27 th or after that will suffer. So keep your fingers crossed , you are in our thought and we are praying for you for a huge good news soon. :)

Hey all! So I did recieve email.
they are asking me to resubmit IMM5540. Not the best news. but it works out ok for us as we have to send in the new police clearance anyways. I just hope we dont wait another 40 days for SA just for them to read one form.

On a positive note, I graduated from my dental studies and am in Thailand visiting the wife.
