So stupid, I was expecting AOR and SA tomorrow, but now they added 5 more days to the processing time. Can't wait for the next quarterly update on the VO processing times, I'm sure Singapore will go from 30 to 32 months.

So was I, but after calling in, I was given the impression that the backlog is just temporary and confined to just cpc mississauga. You have to remember that all the school breaks, march break, and easter just occurred. No doubt some of the officers were on vacation with their children down south or skiing. At least my family always took a week holiday in march. I know you're frustrated and I am too.

4 hrs after i spoke with CIC call center, theres an update ...up to date till 20th march :'( :'( :'( FOR ONCE CIS pls be accurate!!!

Hi Guys. I am new to this forum. I filed my application to sponsor my wife on March 18, 2014. It was received at Mississauga office on March 21, 2014. I have not had an AOR yet. Can you please tell me if AOR comes by post or does it comes via email? Thanks.

There are a couple of other people in this thread who had their file received on March 21st too, and haven't received an AOR yet, so think you're on par with them.

If in the forms you provided them with an e-mail, they should IDEALLY come via e-mail. However I know of a few people who got it by post despite putting in an e-mail address.
Also make sure you check your junk/spam folder as for some people, it has gone to their spam folder.

Hi, Not yet. I got my AOR as mentioned in my last post.
Processing days 34 days means that it should take 34 days to process your Sponsorship application.
I received my AOR in almost 4 weeks after they received my application.
No idea regarding SA as I'm still waiting for this.. :(

Hi,

Have you got SA ?

CIC updated the processing time today, now they working on applications received on March 20, and the processing days increased to 34 days. Is this means AOR will be received afer 34 days ? , What about the SA ? , Generally how long after SA will be sent ?

I got my SA in the mail about 1 month after I got AOR. But I called a week after AOR, (march 26th I called, I think), and they told me over the phone I already had SA and a letter was mailed. So, it doesn't hurt to call and ask. Ask them something like "I would like to know if I have been approved as a sponsor for my wife? I've received AOR "blah" days ago but no answer yet..." something like that. Hopefully you can get an answer from them :).

So we called CIC today, and found out that our SA was approved three days ago! It's a relief to know that the first stage is done and now we just have to wait on Ottawa:) Can someone please update the spreadsheet for us? We got our SA on the 22nd.

Angryrectangle,

I tried several times to reach them through Skype. How did you do it? Did you have.to.buy credits for that???

Heyo! You need to buy Skype credit to call, and you'll have to call the 1-613 number. I'm pretty sure Skype doesn't allow 1-888 numbers.

The first time I tried it gave me the "call not allowed" message, but I hung up and redialed, and it worked.

Good luck! :)

Also - I think there's another free calling app called vodaphone or sledphone or some such thing.

Hi. I have another Question - One of the requirement of the application was submitting proof of relation. For that we sent our pictures together and emails from the time our relationship started until we got married. Now that our application is in, does anyone know if say 6 months later they can ask for more emails or phone bill between now and next 6 months?

From my understanding if they call you in for an interview, they can request additional documentation from you. After you get your UCI you can always mail extra documents and have them added to your file. :)

So we call them again today and they have our application at hand , they ask for confirmation and also told us when it was recieved, they have our bdays , and they know it an Outland application , they also gave us a temporary file number , not a uci though , just something we can call to ask them of, he said they haven't generated uci yet and it should be soon , the guy was so nice and helpful . Fingers crossed for next week :)
