Got my PPR yesterday... Today my ECASE status says Decision Made:

We received your application for permanent residence on March 6, 2014.

We started processing your application on November 5, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Does this mean I'm unofficially a Permanent Resident now?

What do you mean by "unofficially a Permanent Resident "
There is no PR category unofficially

But yes you will get PPR mail soon that is confirm

I got the PPR email yesterday already. What I meant by unofficially is am I actually a PR now, just pending they get my passport (today is holiday, can't send today) and make me my PR card.

^You need to "land" first before you can become a PR in the strictest sense of the word.

I sent my passport today, will reach ottawa on Thursday.

Wow.. first of all congrats steve.. I was so amazed that how come CIC is working 9.39 p.m. .. anyways its good thing for us.. Now our medical can come at any time... hopefully....

YES, Even i was surprised when i see PPR email at night. I think CIC really wants to clear the backlog quickly.
But i see some people from January and December waiting for their MR/PPR.

i am sure that You will get good news from CIC very soon.

Sent mine and my wife's passport today, it will reach Ottawa on Thursday evening.

I did my medical last Monday (Nov 3rd) after getting my request October 10th I believe it was and Ecas is saying medical results received as of yesterday.



Can I be a bit silly and ask what the next step is. I believe they will ask for right of permanent residence fee and then what happens? I am from the UK and currently residing there, will I have to send them my passport?

Since you are from a visa exempt country I don't believe they will ask you for a passport but I could be wrong. This site is pretty good for all the info you need:

No passport requested as I am from a Visa exempt country. Now to wait for the letter in the mail!
