I am still waiting. my medicals are still pending review by a medical officer since oct 3rd. got this update from CIC to my email. Any one in the same status.

Guys, I got my CPR in mail (by regular Canada Post) last week and landed last week. Let's say that was all done on Nov 12.

During landing, they asked for only my passport and CPR letter. They then helped me initiate my PR card.

My case was very simple and I believe this is why this is done so fast.

Good luck guys. Thank you for all the help from all the great people here.

CIC asked me to get my RCMP done once again. I do not have a last name. So the fingerprint agency fellow split my name into given name and family name. CIC is now concerned about it and wants an explanation and also wants a fresh RCMP with name exactly same as it is in passport.
Though nothing serious, it is a setback in terms of timeline...

have any of you experienced something similar?...

You have to do RCMP again, No other way.. :( I did my RCMP with Commissioners and I received it within 10 days.. in your case it will take less than 6 days.. because it will sent to CIC electronically.. So dont worry about time line.. its 6 days only.. Best of luck

Hey its good they asked you now itself, our batch is within the processing time :) It happend with a friend of mine, so second time she went to Commissionaires to take the Fingerprint and this wat they did:

Given Name: <xxxyyy>
Last Name: NO SURNAME

I believe it worked for her. They didnt ask her to do the RCMP again.

CIC replied to my email confirming the receipt of medicals and mentioned that they are yet to be reviewed by a medical officer.
