Dear All,

and finally I have landed and obtained PR status. I have landed at Peace Bridge, Fort Erie on 29th Jan.
My plan was to land at a CIC office and had also booked an appointment for Feb 14th with my local CIC office (Kitchener), however due to a job offer I had to land sooner than this date hence I went to Peace Bridge. Everything was good at the border, the officer only asked my work permit, COPR, my family COPR and a an address proof (I gave rental agreement) to send PR card, (and off-course the passports). Everything went well.

When CIC ask for the PPR, what do you have to send? Please be specific - do you send your passport, pre paid return postage etc?

I ask because I am going away on a tour/trip for 3 months and I am expecting the PPR email may come during that time and wanted to get whatever I need together so I can mail it in from wherever I will be.

when CIC will send you the PPR (by email) they will clearly tell you what documents you need to send and how to send it. It will usually be, your passport(s), the printout of the PPR email, 2 photo graphs for you and your family members, and a return envelope. It would be clearly mentioned what you have to do if you are using Canada post XPress post service or any other courier. In my case they also asked RPRF payment receipt and bio-data (they asked to send these to respective email address only, however I also sent hard-copy), I guess that is because I got PPR very soon immediately after completing medical request. I also put a simple cover letter stating that as per your request herewith I am sending mine and my family's passport.

Steve i am in the exact same boat as well - I did my medicals on the 9th of January and they sent my medicals on the 14th. Its been almost three weeks since and its still showing application in process.

Mine hasn't even sent it yet, I did mine on the 7th. Called Medisys again today (29 days after the medical) and they *still* haven't sent it to CIC. They said the person who could explain its status wasn't there and will call be back.

Very concerned as my 60 day deadline for doing medical expires in 3 days, after which CIC reserves the right to refuse my application based on the original medical request email.

Latest update! Got my COPR in the mail today ;D
COPR was issued on Jan 30th and eCAS changed to medical received/decision made on Feb 2nd.

Didn't get the call back (surprise), called again - got a different receptionist, she said it would be done "by the end of the week". I pointed out that is what they told me on the 28th (Tuesday last week) and she forwarded me to another number (as far as I can work out the number of the person they were going to get to "call me back") and I got my voicemail.

When this finally goes through I am going to leave a scathing google review of these guys, it's pretty clear their processing time is woeful compared to many of the other authorized clinics in Toronto.

ECAS updated this morning to Decision Made.

Now just the final wait for CoPR to arrive.

CoPR arrived in the mail yesterday.....so happy the process is complete,
now just to move halfway around the world....again!

Only people from Visa Exempt country won't receive Passport request ,

By your User name, i see that you are from Australia... If you are, then i guess you'll receive the Corp once the Decision is made on your Application.

Second that. I've heard of cases where people from visa exempt countries where asked to email a scan of their passport.
You don't have to mail your passport to CIC tho.

Nope corp comes through mail, not email.
