This is a late reply just got my PPR last Feb. 14 (valentines day) Then sent my passport and RPRF to ottawa last feb. 22. Guess theres a lot of changes coz before theyre asking passports to send to Detroit..

ECAS says "decision made" finally ;D

so it's true! everything goes to Ottawa now. I hope they have a lot of staff there to process new applications now that the visa offices in the US are closed.

I got my medical request on September 4. The medical reached Ottawa on September 19 (according to Canada post). Ecas updated as 'Medical results have been received' on first week of October. I havent heard anything until today. I just eamiled CPP-O and waiting for thier replying. This is annoying. PPR usually takes between 1 to 3 months.
Im from South Korea and I dont think it's high risk contry. Last trip I made was in 2008 for a month and lived in Canada for 10 years. I lived in Canada since I was 15 years old so There are not much reasons for this delay

no.. it's now 'a year' since they received my completed application. It takes 13 months to get PR card for 80% of applicants and I guess I definitely don't belong to that 80% category. This is frustrating..... arggggg

My timeline is almost identical to yours - waiting since medical as well. Let's hope for the best.

Have you emailed the visa office?

yes i did but same responce as usual "Dear Sir/Madam, Your file is currently in progress at our office. No action on your part is required. An officer responsible for your file will contact you when your action is required. In meantime, please ensure your contact information is up to date.
We thank you for keeping your correspondence to a minimum" i sent it on Jan 8 and got responce on Jan 11.

From Pakistan. I last emailed them January 2nd and they said 'We are waiting for mandatory background enquiry'. It's frustrating/stressful but I guess can't do much - hope the agony ends soon. I'll probably email again.

Hi Guys,

I am in the same situation as you guys. I applied on march 16 2012 and did my medical in october 14 2012. I still haven't heard from immigration yet. I'm so anxious and this wait is frustrating. Hope something happens soon.

Seems like it usually takes a couple of weeks, but lately people were reporting more.
