so your ECAS status was updated to 'MR have been received' on nov 19th, am i correct? actually i was looking at your profile and we almost have the same timelines and from the same city too.

Im afraid i wouldnt really be able to figure out why you havent gotten your ppr yet. No one really knows how they do it, but i believe as long as you know you have submitted everything they want you to submit and have done them accordingly, then all you could do is wait. Some people ordered GCMS notes but itll take 30 days for you to receive it, its completely up to you. I would suggest though that you email cpp ottawa for an update since its been almost a month since your ECAS status changed to MR received? Looking at the timeline seems like you should be getting it already. It wouldnt hurt to give them a shout. They might send you back a generic response but at least itll somehow take some of the burden away.

I wanted to post the link for you by the Forum does not allow me to post the links.

According to my understanding you can stay here on work permit till April 1 2015.
The 2nd web Page say that:

"This regulation is not retroactive – The clock starts ticking on April 1, 2011, for all TFWs, regardless of how long they have already been in Canada.
The earliest date that a foreign worker could reach the four-year cumulative duration limit is April 1, 2015."

So I think any body who has landed before 1 April 2011 can stay till 1 April 2015.

May be you would like to check with CIC before taking any decision. Hope these link will help you. Please let me know if you find this information correct and if my understanding is correct..

I read through everything on the website but I'm still not sure if I understand everything correctly.

I will contact CIC to find out of I can extend the work visas beyond the 5 years that we have already been in Canada next year in may.

I am also in the same boat. Received AOR on July 3rd and no medicals until now. I am not able to locate anybody to talk to and I received the same email with the same exact wording...

Do you think there is any document or information that needs to be updated? I received my medical check just few days after I updated my permit extension...

I have a general question. i.e. what does AOR contain ? Does it contain the missing documents information that needs to be submitted ? Also, is it safe to assume that once the AOR is clean, there will be no need for any additional documents ?

AOR would mention that your application was received on a certain date, what your file number is and also mention that the application was transferred to a certain visa office for processing.

Receipt of AOR only ensures that an initial check was done on your application to ensure you have submitted all the basic documents as per checklist. This does not ensure that you will not get additional requests later when a Visa Officer starts processing your application. This is purely on a case to case basis but if you have provided all the documents required, especially a good reference letter, T4 and NOA which are consistent with each other, then you are unlikely to get additional document requests (except possibly a request for fingerprint scan and Canadian PCC).

Hi Friends,

I have a question. I applied under CEC category on March 28th 2012 along with my wife (as dependent) and Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa requested for PCC for my wife AND "Request for passport photos" for both of us. I have submitted both photos and PCC. I am just curious as to why they asked for passport photos when I already included them along with my Original application. Also, does this means that I have cleared the initial screening.

I still didn't receive medicals. I sent them and email and this is the reply I got from CIC:

"Our office will get in contact with you regarding the next steps in your file, in due time."

Hi TRT 17,

Before Medical my status was application received. However, they asked for my spouse PCC from India and our recent photos and then it changed to "In Process". They also asked me to pay " Payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee." So seems like everything would be okay.
