Hey all,

Woohoo I just did my landing at the Rainbow bridge!! Thank you all for answering all my question. This forum has kept me sane most days. To all those who have not received pr yet all the best and your time is coming and to all those who did receive congrats!!!

I completed my landing on Saturday, 1st December at the Peace arch crossing. I'm happy it's all over! thanks everyone for updating and sharing your timelines

Got my passport request on november 16. sent everything to Detroit right away.

So last night I looked online, and CIC has changed my application to "decision made"!

I went to the Canada Post website to track my parcel.....it says "delivered" yesterday, but it wasn't!! Checked with my local post office this morning, and my apartment building's people in the office- no one has seen it.

I didn't realise that Xpresspost doesn't automatically require a signature for delivery.....would have used FEDEX, but Detroit will not send anything back to you by commercial courier. So everyone, when/if you send things by Xpresspost prepaid envelopes, make sure you purchase a signature box (they're $1.50 apparently).

I called Detroit, and the operator told me to email the Detroit immigration office directly, which I've done. So now I've got to wait to see what's inside.

So annoying!!!

Congrats on getting your PR! Ive a quick question, What pic size and how many pieces of it did u send to detroit along with your passport? Just planning to get them done so when i get my PPR ive everything ready.

Thank you so much!! When I received my passport request I was asked to send my passport, 2 photos and on an additional piece of paper with my height and eye clour .They also, requested a prepaid envelope for the return of the passport. Hope this is what u r looking for.

So just handwrite the height and eye colour on any piece of paper? Doesnt matter which one u use? Does it need to be typed or hand written is good? Is there a validity for the money order and prepaid envelope? Thinking of accomplishing all of it today since i dont know when i could get a day off next, just wants everything ready by the time i received PPR so i can mail it to them right away.

Hi All,

On the letter received from OTTPilot it is mentioned to send 2 passport size photo (which is 50 * 70) but on link it is (35 * 45).

What size photos should we send to Detroit? Do we need photos during landing?

Yes I went to the boarder to do my landing. Note you dont have to go to the boarder to Land you can call cic and book an appointment with an immigration office close to where u live. However, it might take a weeks before u can get an appointment. The immigration officer at (Rainbow Bridge) only asked me ''what was my current status in Canada'' I told her worker and that was all. i thought bank statement is not one of the requirements for CEC applicants?
