Just a quick question guys, when you recieve the AOR does it mean your application will be approved later on and you made one little step ahead or no?

Hi Khafinn,

it is just Acknowledgement for the application and process will begin and they have accepted the application based on the check list.

thanks

Thank you for clarifying .....but it seems like once you get the AOR its one step ahead since some people get both the AOR and the medical at the same time

Hi All,

I have question about AOR , does any one know the significance of "101" at the below signauture from AOR mail? and also what about others which just got their AOR or they state 101 for them as well?

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Traitement Pilote - Ottawa - 101

thanks

my personal gues sis that they are starting dividing ottawa' s procesisng center into offices or branches and they will assign a number to each branch so when you send somethign they know who to give it to.

I am able to see online status as "Applictaion received"

what about others who got their AOR and also any additional thoughts about the mail sigunature (101) ? :)

Hi all,

Today I received my AOR from CIC for my CEC application sent in March 2012 (yeah!).

In it I was told that medical instructions are attached to this e-mail, and to follow the instructions in the attachment, but there were NO attachments to the e-mail.

I wrote them back asking them to let me know what had happened. I'm assuming it was just a clerical error.

Do you think this will slow down the process?

Can I book an appointment with an approved doctor?

Do I need to wait til they get back to me with the forms (e.g. are they blank/generic or do they have specific information in them)?

Thanks!

Thanks to ONAP and cec_guelph for the update.

cec_guelph, can you post application posted date.

All the best to every march applicant..

Congrats ! Did you get the AOR from NS or CPC - Ottawa? Just wondering who sends the AOR ..as some posts have mentioned that they got the AOR from Ottawa.

I submitted my application on March 19, still didn't receive anything :(

Is there anyone who submitted his/her application by that time and still didn't receive AOR? Do I have to worry about it or shall I wait??

Just got a new email to disregard previous e-mail LOL.

However, this one did not make any mention of a medical, which is a little disappointing. But I'm sure it'll come in time.

Oddly enough it said that they received it at the Buffalo office and transferred to Ottawa, but I sent it to Sydney, NS. Hmmm...hope they haven't gotten confused and are using my older (rejected) CEC application. That would never happen, right? ;)

The thing I also noticed was that the previous email said a 14 month standard processing time, and this one listed 10 months. Who knows.

@ak1737:You'll get your AOR any day now!

I am pretty sure the transition and the new laws and changes are going to cause a looooot of confusion, more amongst visa officers than us normies.

Haha, there is a reason they call it the silly service, and it has all of our lives in its hands!
