Thanks guys! one more step is to be done! I have to include my 3 mos. old child which is back home.

CIC finally answered my question regarding my medical exam. Strangely enough, one CIC officer said that he couldn't reply to my email since the email address I sent the request from isn't associated with my official file (my consultant's email is), so I had to have my consultant draft an email asking the same thing. Meanwhile, another CIC officer replied to a different email I sent, and gave me the information! It seems like there are inconsistencies as to what official protocol is...

Either way, my medical records are on file! However, the CIC site still says "In Process."

I lived int he US for 5 years and in Canada for almost 2 years now and by comparison everything is like this most governemnt employees here do what they "feel" they can get away with rather than follow the book. Sometimes it works for you sometimes not. An example is how the officer at the Airport stole 2 months from me by giving me a 10 months work permit claiming the embassy told him to, I then got the file from the embassy and it clearly said one year.

Hi Alvin99,

In other words they are telling you not to contact them due to the high volume of applications they are receiving. They are also trying to tell you that applications take 14 months to get processed, so you have to wait.

I received my AOR in July 3rd and my application was received on March 19th. Until now, I didn't hear back from them and i didn't receive medicals. There is nothing that is common between those who are not getting an update as there is no specific reason for the delay.

I really wish there is someone we can call or contact directly to ask about what is happening? Why some application get processed fast while other don't? Why some people got the PR while other don't?

All these questions don't have answers...

But it is useless if you are applying from inside Canada as you can see the status of your application online. While others from outside, can't....

I GOT MY PASSPORT REQUEST TODAY!!!! I'm so happy, but now I won't be productive for the rest of my work day!

That's so true. Dealing with government bureaucracy is the worst! (And I say this as a former US government worker, too. ;))

Do you mind sharing your NOC with us? There is a developing theory that certain NOCs get processed much faster than others.
