Just looked at your timeline Canadiangirl78, and it really took less than 6 months for your application to be sent, received, processed, and your spouse to land? That's incredible...

She was a lucky one But she applied through Mexico and had all the documentation done properly!!!

cgagnon and ccunnington.......my husband just got the call from the embassy......interview Oct 1/12....of course that is the day I told him was impossible for me to be there at so any other day than that day......so he will call tomorrow and change that but yippee!!!!!!

I'm surprised they want an interview when you sent them 10kg of evidence!!! maybe they need the interview so you can explain all the stuff you sent!

Just thought I'd share this with everyone, yesterday I received a phone call from CIC. I had sent an email earlier this week because we don't have confirmation of the medical being received and they haven't requested my husbands FBI report (CBSA did photo's and prints in April). Rather than just replying to my email, another very nice human being actually called!! They are human, they are alive and NICE!! He actually didn't really give me any answers but more the reassurance that our application is in the queue, it's just a matter of time and if we don't receive any requests then they have everything

So I wanted to let you know that they are human and they actually do sympathize

Thanks for sharing this! Did you email the los angeles or Ottawa office? I had emailed the Ottawa office a few months ago and they replied by asking me to keep my emails to a bare minimum so I no longer email them. I also am unsure if they received my medicals and am not sure if I should email them or not.

yeah pretty much standard in Cuba....only ever heard of one or two people with no interview.......

We'll just tie 3 or 4 canoes together, build kind of a raft, and party on!! (Make sure everyone wears a life jacket in case one falls in the water while enjoying frosty libations!)
